does the employer have the right to fire you even if you called in 2 hours head of time scheduled to work and have no calling in sick history

Unless you have a written contract with the employer, you are an "at-will" employee and can be terminated at any time for any reason or no reason at all. There are some exceptions to that, such as unlawful discrimination. But your post does not indicate any of that.
