Legal Question in Employment Law in California

fraud and grand larceny

can an employee press for charges against his employer for fraud and larcey to have him prosecuted by the district attorney? the employer exploited the employee to give him $68,000 to purchase equipment (trucks and tractor) for the company with the promise of paying the employee extra for his contribution to the company and a promise to pay him back with interest. not only is the principle not being paid back, but the interest is not being paid as promised and neither is the extra wage not being paid. the employer is making huge profits from the company.

Re: fraud and grand larceny

You could try to press charges but my guess is they will tell you it is a civil matter and to sue him in court.

IF your facts show theft, you could try to file criminal charges, but likely you will have to sue for your money. Consult a local attorney for help.
