health benefits cut with 6 day notice

I just recently quit working at a small

hair salon that cancelled all out medical

benefits with 6 days notice. I have been

told by some people that this is illegal.

I have multiple sclerosis so obviousley

this is a huge problem for me, I had

even discussed this with the owner in

the past letting her know that if she cut

the benefits that I would have no choice

but to look eleswhere for work. I

realize that she does not legally have to

provide benefits, and that I am eligable

for COBRA.

I hope you are able to get COBRA benefits, and/or get coverage at a new employer, because that is about all you can do.
