Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My husband got hurt on the job ( he has been to work everyday since) and his work has been sending him to the workers comp. doctor for the last 3 weeks (approx. 2 to 3 days a week). Now all of a sudden my husbands work is telling him he needs to take those hours he missed from work (by being at the doctors) out of his "paid time off". Can they legally make him do that? or even doc his pay for those hours he missed from work?

His doctor should have taken him off work and his treating doctor should have either applied for either temporary disability benefits through the worker's compensation carrier or should have certified your husband for disability benefits under State disability benefits. If his doctor refuse to do that change the doctor. Feel free to call us at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation.
