are there any labor laws regarding the layoff of American Indian employees? or blocking any pending layoff?

They are subject to the same protections, rules and laws as anyone else in employment, unless working directly for the tribe, which may have its own rules and rights. If that is the case, read the tribal rules.

If your employer has chosen you for lay off BECAUSE you are American Indian, this is unlawful discrimination. If this is the case, you should contact an employment attorney to evaluate your specific factual circumstances.
