Legal Question in Employment Law in California

there was a lawsuit in california against a major restaurant for employees not receiving breaks. the employees were given a payment. this was about 7 years ago. i worked for this company for 4 years, and i never recieved any information or payment on this lawsuit. I was just wondering if i was still intitled to recieve a payment or is it to late.

It is probably too late. In class action lawsuits, members of the class are given a date by which their claims must be submitted. If payment has already been made, chances are the matter is closed.

At most, claims for wages can go back 4 years. If you worked for the restaurant in question, within the past 4 years, you may be able to bring an individual claim. Beyond 4 years, you are out of luck.
