Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Retaliation/Wrongful Termination

I was terminated after I made a complaint of discrimination, bullying and misuse of company funds against my former supervisor the President and CEO of the company. I am under the impression that it is unlawful for an employer to fire an employer after the employee made a complaint of discrimination. I am also over 40. However, it is next to impossible to find an attorney to represent me. I had one but I was not comfortable with his communication style, therefore, we were not a good fit. I anticipate that I will receive a right to sue letter from EEOC in the next few months, and I'd like to secure an attorney prior to that happening. I also have a wages and claims complaint pending with DIR. Any suggestions on how I might have more success obtaining legal representation?
