Actually, this is very interesting. I would not consider this an open and shut case without doing a little research. Even employment at will, which says you can be terminated for any or no reason, doesn't allow you to be terminated for a bad reason, such as religion. Yes. Churches and church schools are specifically allowed by CA law to discriminate in favor of their religion. Why should it be any other way when the whole point of the school is them teaching their religion? On your point; Hebrew schools do not hire Christians.
