Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Worked and did not get paid.

I was working for a contractor on and off for about 5 years (window installing/glass). He did not pay me for Feb-March of 2009, and the company went out of business. He is not returning my phone calls. He keeps telling me he is going to pay me, but I am starting to see it is going nowhere. What kind of action should I take to get the money I worked so hard for? Please help!

Sounds like you might want to file a small claims case.
