when we moved in our landlord did not tell us we had to pay water,so one day i get a call from him saying you better pay the water bill before they turn you off. so i called water co. they said they would send form to my landlord to fill out so they could send me a bill,a week or so go by i called water co. they said they would sendhim anoth form because they havent heard from him.a month goes by i called water co. they said they still havent heard from him,so they would send another form.then about aweek or so go by my landlord calls and says he sent off the form,by this time water was shut off.and ive lived here for about 6 months,now code compliance posted a red tag on door we can no longer live here,what can i do ?this past weekend we were gone out of town and my landlord gave a key to somebody to come in and show our house,with out our knowledge,what can i do?

Your landlord handled the water company situation poorly, but so did you.

It was completely inappropriate to let another look at your apartment.

Sue him in small claims court ASAP. Make sure you get a statement in writing from the water company. Also, read your lease as to provisions regarding the water bill.
