Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
Employers legal responsibility to provide documentation
My former employer is giving me a
hard time about providing
information I need to submit to an
insurance adjuster. I had a car
accident and lost work time but need
this documentation to be
compensated. What is their legal
responsibility to provide this
information and what type of letter
do I send to officially request this
information?

Re: Employers legal responsibility to provide documentation
You are very fuzzy with your facts.
You probably have a worker's compensation claim, if the accident was work related. However, I can only guess (and won't) at the documentation necessary.
Please resubmit with more of a background.

You were not clear what information you were asked to provide. You have a worker's compensation case against your former employer and a case against the other driver (third party).Even if you were at fault for the car accident, you may be able to get compensation for your work-related injuries.
