Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

hate crime

i was victim of a hate crime, the man was found innocent and i feel like i was not represented at all

do i have any legal recourese civil or otherwise. thank you for your time

A not guilty finding in the criminal case does not prevent you filing a civil case. IF you can prove your case to a civil standard, which is lower than criminal, and IF the perp has assets or income that would justify spending the time and money in a lawsuit, then talk to a local attorney experienced in this.

It is difficult to say without more information about what the crime was, when it happened, and what damages you suffered. If the trial you are referring to was a criminal trial, it may be possible to pursue a civil suit depending on the statute of limitations.
