Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Tuesday night me and my bf got into a fight, due to the fact that he was drunk. The fight escalated when I poured the rest of his liquor out. He left that night, but the next morning he came into my house and went to sleep in my bed. He was still intoxicated and I was still mad over the fight we had and the fact that he broke my house phone. Wensday morning, I am asking him what is he doing in my house, when I didn't want him there, and he's too intoxicated to answer. So I called his friend to find out why they kept drinking, and as soon as I dialed his number, my boyfriend comes rushing at me and pushing me into the closet. He also broke my mirrior too. My sister's boyfriend was there and called the police. When the poilice arrived, I told them I wanted him arrested, and they wanted me to sign some paper, but I didnt sign it, nor press charges against my boyfriend. My boyfriend was rude to the cops. He was cursing at them(calling them mutha-fu**) and the police said if he acts right, they would let him go, if not then they were going to arrest him. They arrested him. Now he is in a county jail in California (West Valley Detention Center) and he has been in there for 3 days. He is also on Parole. He hasnt spoken to his P.o yet, but I called his P.o and I tried to explain what happened and told him that it was nothing major and his p.o replied "its nothing minor either" This is the first time my boyfriend has been arrested since he has been out of prison, which has been 2 years atraight. Hes been going to school and working. His P.o says he has no chrages against him, and the county jail said he was arrested for negative contact with the police. His P.o says he will look into it and get a police report and he wont know anything by Monday. Its a weekend, and I know he is going to stay in jail over the weekend, but what do you think is going to happen to him? will he go back to prison or do you think his p.o will send him home? The county jail says he will be going back to state prison, they just dont know when. Advice please!!!

Maybe his parole officer will do you a favor.

Wow. I think you need a psychologist (and just you, forget about couples counseling) instead of a Lawguru answer.

Mr. Lupoff's answer was unnecessary. I suggest you try some local legal aid agencies. Here's a good place to start.
