Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Should I write a check

On 12-1-99 my husband hit someone on his way to work. The person was okay, he gave her a ride home. He told her if she needed any medical treatment let us know.

We have ins. She gave me a receipt for a bill $40.00, I repaid her. Next we get a letter from an attorney saying she has two other bills please pay them. She doesn't

want to go through the insurance. She never told us about the new bills. We told her to let us know. What should I do?

This is an old scam. The attorney is trying to get some cash from you before filing a lawsuit. Turn it over to your isurance company right now before they deny you coverage for failing to report the accident.
