Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Suspension for siezures

I was involved in an accident in which I was working back to back shifts, I fell asleep at the wheel on the freeway in my company vehicle. I hit the gaurd rail there were no other cars invloved, highway patrol and the ambulance were called but I was not taken to the hospital. I have a past history of siezure disorder, and have recently learned my license will be suspended for one year. The letter from the DMV states the suspension is being inacted becuase of loss of consiousness. What can I do to retain my license at the DMV hearing.

Re: Suspension for siezures

One possible strategy, other than the best (bringing a lawyer) would be to bring your time record from work and a letter from a doc. saying your LOC was from lack of sleep not seizure disorder. By the way you need to see a workers comp lawyer about injuries received in the accident.
