Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Connecticut

Quit Claim Trouble

Our attorney did not do a good title search on a buidling lot we own and are selling. The person who sold the previous owner the lot may have done so without permission of a relative who also has rights to the lot. Can that person take claim to our lot even though we have paid taxes and assessments on it for almost 10 years as required by the town? Do we have any recourse?
