Legal Question in Medical Leave in District of Columbia

I am a District of Columbia employee who is currently out on Medical leave but in non statuatory leave status because it is my third surgery since last October. What legal rights do I have to protect my position with my employer? I received a phone call from my Director today telling me that my position was going to be "posted" and that she was not sure what my status was for a position when I returned from my medical leave.

Hire a DC lawyer who specializes in FMLA to advise you. There are too many "what-if" type questions that are not appropriate for this type of forum that would need to be answered before giving your options.

Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
