car insururance

I had a policy with estrella insurance las year for a full year which I pay in full, now is time to renuew it, but they quoted me a higher price, then I told them to I will shop round for a cheaer policy, which I found with another auto insurer, they quoted me 500.00 less than estrella, and estrella call me to let me know that i need the new policy renuew before the expiration date, i told then that i already have a new policy which i found cheaper, then they call this other auto insurance an now this other auto insurer wants more money than what they originally quote is this legal because they puted on paper how much it will cost me to insurer my car with then and after they talked to my previous insurer they increase the premium eventhogh they gave a price before, what legal rights do I have against this two insurance agencies. please reply..
