Legal Question in DUI Law in Florida

legal advise

My brother a couple of years back got a dui, while having his child in the car with him.His son was takin away. After a few months in jail, and serving out almost all of his probation. The house he was living in had a history of drug use,in which he got cought up in,he tested positive for meth use. Before he could be arrested,he fled the state (florida).Since then he`s been doing alot better, being in a different environment. He is still on the run so to speak.Youd have to understand the difficulty he`s had his whole life, not a bad person, just around bad circumstances. My question to you is this.Is there anyway he can remedy this situation without coming back to florida, and going to jail? The jail here in hernando co. has had two inmates hang themselves in the past year. It`s a really bad place, and even being on probation here is difficult due to all the drug influences here.Thank you for your time, and efforts.I look forward to hearing from you.Sincerly, concerned relative

Re: legal advise

It is possible but unlikely. The only way to proceed and to find out is to retain an attorney who can then contact the state attorney's office on his behalf and try to resolve the case and negotiate the conditions for turning himself in. I can handle this for him. Please call my office if you would like a fee quote.
