Legal Question in DUI Law in Florida

Suspended License

I was charged with a DUI in Illinois in April 2006, I reside in Florida. I was arrested in Florida for driving on a suspended license (coming from the charge in Illinois). I found out that Florida actually suspends for a year. What can I do in order to get my license back early in the State of Florida (I have received a letter of Clearance from Illinois)? My expiration date is 4/07.

Re: Suspended License

As a result of the DUI, your license was suspended in Illinois. Therefore, you were driving on a suspended license when you were pulled over in Florida. Unfortunately, the computer can check this instantly. I would suggest that you call me so that I can tell you how you can fax these documents to me. It's important that you take care of this immediately because of the expiration of your license of 4/07 (if your license is suspended, any insurance coverage will also be invalid - that's also serious).
