Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child custody

I currently live with my son's father. We are not married and are not getting along. He wants me to move out and I have no problem with that. The only problem is that I want to take my son to Ohio with me to live where I have more family support. I was just wondering if he has and legal way to stop me from leaving the state and should I wait and apply for full custody in Ohio or should I take care of it down here.

Re: Child custody

He could seek a court order preventing you from taking your son out of state. If that is what you deem best, do it and seek a court order for custody in Ohio.
