Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child Custody

When I was a single mother living at home with my parents, they were granted temporary custody after my father had petitioned the court. He had typed up a petition and the next day we were in front of the judge and custody was granted. Now I want to reverse the decision and want to know if I can draw up a similar petition or is there something else that needs to be done. I went to the local courthouse to get papers, but they were in cases of divorce and child support. There is no child support being paid by either party and the biological father is not in the picture at all. Please call or e-mail for more details.

Re: Child Custody

I don't think I have enough facts to give an opinion if you could successfully get your child back. Probably the best long range recommendation I can make is for you to contact the Legal Aid office at your county bar association. Good Luck
