Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Grandparent's Rights

My husband's 17 yr old daughter just had a baby and her mother, his ex wife, is refusing to allow him/us to see the baby. The ex has encouraged a negative relationship between my husband and their two children for years now which she now is trying to carry over to the next generation. My husband pays child support for their daughter and isn't sure how to go about the issue and what rights he has to spend time with his/our grandchild.

Re: Grandparent's Rights

The State of Florida does not have laws recognizing a grandparent's visitation rights. Your husband's best bet would be to attempt to establish or enforce visitation with his 17 year old daughter through a Court order. This will probably result in him having access to his grandchild.
