Dying before getting paid for services rendered

My Father was the head of a non-profit organization for 15years. In the last 2yrs he withheld his salary due to the org. financial hardships with the promise of being paid back. My father died 8/25/02. what legal statue does his wife have to recoup what is owed.

The Personal Representative of your father's estate will have what ever rights your father had to pursue this claim. I would need to know more about the "agreement" between your father and the non-profit before I would have an opinion on what your father's rights were.

Unless your father completely waived his right to these earned but unpaid wages, his estate is entitled to those wages.

It would be a claim of your father's estate, which the estate would have to pursue. In terms of the claim itself, I would need more information to advise you on the validity of the claim.
