I am getting a small inheritance ($10,000) within a few weeks from a trust. Will I have to pay taxes on this money?

Normally an inheritor does not pay taxes on money they inherit. It can be a little more complicated if the money was in a trust and the asset appreciated after it was placed in the trust. The trustee of the trust should be able to tell you.
