Bankruptcy vs divorce decree

My ex filed for bankruptcy and the judge would not hear our case for contempt of court because of this. I have already lost my car because he did not pay for it and now the mortgage is 3 months behind! My recent stimulous package of $1900 went into his checking account and he will not give me half. What do you suggest? My lawyer does not seem to know what he is doing?

Either discuss with your lawyer, or retain another lawyer. Pending litigation - especially two different cases - is not something to be resolved on here.
