Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

A friend has an uncle that supposedly suffered a fall down the stairs over the weekend. His wife didn't take him to the hospital and let him go to sleep afterwards. Then they discovered he was bleeding on the brain and in a lot of pain. The wife doesn't let my friend or the rest of the family see him in the hospital and today the wife just left a message on her voice mail stating she was going to pull life support from him. The family suspects foul play. Is there anything they can do to prevent the wife from pulling life support until an investigation is completed?
