Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Assault on the job

I am a female that was punched by a male on the job and mgmt is saying that it is my fault. I was given a written warning and am now being treated noticeably different by mgmt not to exclude the sly comments and stares of a few of the managers and employees.

I was injured by the punch and am now seeking medical attention. Since my employer did not take my claim serious should I call the police, go EEOC and hire a lawyer. It's rumored that they will try to fire me by end of month. This is just the beginning...

Re: Assault on the job

Do the following things immediately:

1. File a police report immediately

2. Consult with a good employment lawyer like myself.

3. I would then recommend you hire a worker's comp. attorney

4. Call/visit the EEOC and file a charge of hostile work environment based on gender. Do this immediately so that it might help to keep you from losing your job.
