Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Can a company fire you for purchasing a scratch off ticket on company time? They fired me for gambling, but everyone does it. It jus so happend that I was the only one to get caught. If that is gambling then wouldnt a lottery pull or football pull be considered gambling as well? If so, how do I go about filing a lawsuit? I shouldnt be the only person to get fired when I have papers showing names on the pulls, is that cosidered discrimination of some sort?

Employment in Georgia is at-will and an absent a contract stating otherwise, an employee can be terminated for any or no reason at all. The very few exceptions involve unlawful discrimination against legally protected classes (race, gender, etc.). Most hiring and firing involves some form of "discrimination" (such as discrimination against employees who violate the rules) and it is perfectly legal.
