Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Previous employer

I was an inside sales rep and left to go to a competitor. I did not sign a no compete. They accused me of stealing customers with no proof and had lawyers to send a letter to my new employer. Also they still have my name on their voicemail saying Iam not in and not saying Iam no longer there. Can I sue for slander and still using my name?

Re: Previous employer

You do not say whether or not you were doing what they accuse you of doing (not that you should), and we can't guess what information they do have. You also do not say what damages you have suffered. The fact that you did not sign a non-compete does not mean they cannot protect other interests, such as the misappropriation of customer lists or information. Since they have a lawyer, you need a lawyer to review all information for an opinion.
