Discovery lasts six months in the Georgia state courts. However, either party may request an extension (or multiple extensions) of discovery, and if the request is reasonable, the Court will typically grant it. Best of luck.******The above does not establish an attorney-client relationship and is intended solely for informational purposes.******

If you don't have an attorney, you should have read the rules of the court. In all courts in Georgia, including Federal Courts, there are rules of civil procedure that outline timing and prcoedures for discovery, pre-trial, and trial. You need to familarize yourself with these provisions. These rules can be obtained on-line.

On the other hand, if you are represented by an attorney, ask questions to your attorney. If the attorney does not provide you with the information you need, hire another one.
