Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

Past Ownership and Liability for past injuries

I was hurt in a hotel and want to file a case, I have recently found out that the owners, a huge company sold this place but knew of the injuries prior to selling it. Can I still bring them to court? Who is responsible for this the new owner or the one that sold it after it happened?

Your lawyer will be able to figure that out with more facts than you posted.

Re: Past Ownership and Liability for past injuries

First let me say that I am sorry to hear about your injuries. That having been sain an attorney would need more facts than you presented to answer your question. It would certainly depend on the terms of the sale of the propert as to whether the new owner is responsible for injuries prior to taking possession or if the old owner remains liable. If you would like to contact my office I would me more than happy to discuss the matter with you.
