Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

property deed

I am on a deed; however, I am not on the mortgage. Property is threatening a foreclosure. What are my legal right to property if any? If foreclosure happens will it affect my credit? Will my wages be garnished if foreclosure happens? House currently not foreclosed. Thanks!

Re: property deed

If you are not on the mortgage, your credit will not be affected by the foreclosure. However, since you are on the title, you may very well lose your interest in the property. You should consult with a local attorney who can review all the pertinent documents.
