Legal Question in Family Law in Idaho

custody

my grandson is 15. he has lived with me on/off for a year or2 at a time. his parents have been into drugs. my son(his father) is mow incarcerated again. for some odd reason his mother never is for the same reason, drugs(another story)i have called cps on her a couple of times. i have 2 other grandchildren there also. my grandson wants to come live w/me.his father knows this, and i told him when he gets pit away again i will come and get my grandson. i need to know how do i get this done, being out of state.the only problem i will have will be w/his mother, but she is quite unfit, which i can prove, and he does not want to stay there. he has made that clear to several people. my other grandchildren, one a girl 14 wants to stay w/ her mother, and the other child is 5, he would come if i can get him also, but i would try for the oldest grandson first, being as he can speak for himself.

Re: custody

This is a difficult matter, and would involve a "Private Dependency". This basically means that you are stepping into the role of CPS.

I can explain the procedures better by phone or in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.

Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Alicia to schedule a free 1/2 hour telephonic consultation. I look forward to talking with you.
