Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

Drive for a living

I was recently found guilty in municipal court for the charges of OWI & Refusal to submit to chemical testing in Wisconsin. I would LOVE to go to court and contest the charges.

I haven't worked in 7 months do to this case.So throwing more money into this might not happen.

I am self employed and run a traffic survey company( 4 years).

I drive all over Illinois for work from 5am-9pm depending on were I have to be that day.

I need to know what kind of occupational drivers license I am eligible for and if I will need a lawyer to get it?

Re: Drive for a living

What in the Blazes are you talking about?? You were found guilty, but would "love" to contest the charges? These concepts are at opposite ends of the spectrum. Now, if you were found guilty in abstentia, you might have 30 days to file a motion to reopen the case.

Note that Wisconsin and Illinois have reciprocal agreements, so once the Illinois SOS gets notification from Wisconsin, your Illinois driving privileges are toast as well.

YOU NEED THE ASSISTANCE OF A LAWYER!!!!! GOOD LUCK!
