Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

dui

i had a dui in florida in 2001. it was my third in 5 years. i spent 41 days in work release. i paid a $1200 fine after release and went to the probation officer. i attended the court ordered classes. the probation officer violated my probation because i was late for an appointment. i never went back. i've never been arrested for anything since. i've moved to illinois and am interested in obtaining a hardship license to get back and forth to work. i looked up my driving record and it said my revocation would be over in 2011. what clearances do i need from florida to get my hardship license in illinois ? do i go through illinois first or florida first ? should i prepare to surrender myself to police first w/ an attorney? should i schedule a hearing w/ the local dmv? what's my first course of action to redeem myself and get my life back together in regards to my drivers license ? thank you .

Re: dui

You have to clear up the Florida mess first. That may require jail time since you left the jurisdiction before you finished the sentence. You are now officially a fugative from justice. Good luck.
