DUI is a Class A misdemeanor that can receive a jail sentence of up to 364 days. Also, if he receives a DUI conviction, his driver's license will be revoked.

You should contact some Chicago-area attorneys for a free consultation for your son -- if that is where he was arrested.

Your should hire an attorney to represent your son. The negative consequences of mishandling this matter can be very serious indeed. An attorney should be able to either defend the charges or negotiate a plea bargain which may avoid your son taking a conviction.
