legal malpractice

when my ex husband was his own attorney my own attorney did not tell me everything that was said, it was like my attorney was my ex's attorney

Your attorney is not required to tell you everything that is said, his only obligation is to pursue the goals of the litigation consistent with the Rules of Professional Conduct. Even if your husband had his own attorney, its unlikely that your attorney would have related conversations with the attorney to you in their entirety.

So far you haven't said anything that would have amounted to malpractice.
