Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

I was suspended for supposedly bringing paraphernalia onto work property. I was given a random drug test, came back clean. Police department was called to check the area I supposedly had it and nothing was found. Then, instead of letting me come back to work. They terminated me on june 4 for "not learning the job fast enough" when I was told that I would have till august to train before being put on my own. Is that legal?

They can fire you for virtually any reason unless you are a member of a protected class and that membership motivated the termination. More facts are needed. Do you think they had an ulterior motive for firing you? Are you a minority? Feel free to consult further with me using the e-mail in my profile.
