Suing a Dentist
Our then 5 year old son had oral surgery October 2004. He ended up being rushed to the hospital from the dentist office and stayed in ICU due to developing phemonia. We always felt something went wrong that day, but a few months afterwards we found out that there was things that made us uncomfortable about what had happened that day and everthing is adding up now. The anesthesiologist, we found out later intabated our son three times before getting it right, they felt they did wrong and never billed us. We found out afterwards that after the proceedure, when our son was not responding to waking up, he was spiking a fever, having difficult breathing, the dentist called our pediatrician who told the dentist to get our son to the ER right away, but then the dentist waited more than 45 minutes before calling 911 because he felt they could handle it at that time.
We are looking for a lawyer who is willing to take this case because we feel there was neglect with our son and we could have lost him that day.

You may or may not have a case. The ONLY way to find out is to have your medical record reviewed by a dentist and a medical doctor to find out whether there was in fact neglect and a failure to follow the standard of care in the community in which your son's dentist practices.
Also, you have left out one important fact. How is your son now? Did he recover fully from his ordeal?
