Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

In the past 3 months, i have slipped on ice on 2 different apartment complexes. Now, both of these complexes had their sidewalks salted, but not their parking lots! What options do i have? I have been told by a friend that I should really look into suing them for this. Both of my falls resulted in injuries, both of them putting me out of work for up to a week or more for each one. I have paperwork from ERs, worker's comp, and my doctor about my injuries. What are my options?

Slips and falls on ice are among the most difficult cases to bring. The key to having a successful claim is proper investigation. In light of current weather conditions, I suggest strongly that you contact an attorney immediately so that he or she can get out to the scene of both falls to determine whether you have a cause of action against either complex. Good luck.
