Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

I have a felony conviction from 1999 and was released from probation in 2005.. my question is "When answering if I have been convicted of a felony in the last 7 years (since it has been over 10 years) do I answer yes or no? and when the background check is performed do companies count the year of the conviction or when you are discharged from probation when looking at this information?

Answer no. Companies do not look at the year in a vacume, other things are considered, such as the kind of job and what the conviction was for.
