Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

I have worked for McDonalds for about a week and a half. A fellow employee has worked there for 36 days. Can they fire me for not coming in on the busiest day of the year, and allow this other employee to not come in when the rule is that every employee works on this day, and if you don't it is automatic termnation.

Generally, they can fire you for any reason that is not discriminatory. A possible exception is

if they have a written policy and procedures manual that states a termination policy. Unless, they chose to keep him on because of your sex, race, age, etc. you are out of luck.
