Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Kansas

I have 3 credit cards that are past due, and the creditors will not work with me for a reasonable payment plan. Can they place a lien on my home and how many years would the lien stay on the property?

The creditors cannot apply a lien without first getting a judgment against you. If they get a judgment and later transcribe it up, it will become a lien that stays on for five years. That five year period can be renewed over and over.

Good luck
