Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

I have been raising my daughter since she was 3 month old. my girlfriend was in jail for 7 years, she is out of Jail and told me that my daughter is not mine and that her father wants to be with her. I want to gain full custody of my daughter. I remarried and have 3 children, I have a steady job and my wife and I are in an stable relationship. do I have any rights to a custody?

If you are the biological father, you have standing fit custody. If you aren't, there may be grounds to assert that the biological father abandoned and neglected the child ( if he knew she existed) You will need to get a paternity determination. At present, you seem to be the de facto parent. You need to consult directly with a family law attorney, in your area, to protect your interests. You may have a claim for seven years back child support, from the other man, if you're not going to be the biological father.

Good luck
