Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

Child support

My 41 year old husband who lives in Kentucky and is one of three beneficiaries on his mother's life insurance is due to receive proceeds from his mom's death recent death. He owes back child support. In Kentucky, can the state or federal government intercept the death insurance benefits he is to receive and interfere with the other beneficiaries receiving their benefits? The benefit my husband is to receive is roughly 20k and he owes about 14k - accumulated from an incarceration when he was 19 - 26 yrs old.

Re: Child support

You may be able to contact the local county attorney's office or hire a private attorney to help you collect the money. You should be able to recover the arrears from his portion of the estate.
