Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kentucky

i bought a house and at the time of closing property taxes were collected from buyer and seller. the closing agents failed to get them paid for whatever reason. then i received a letter almost a year later from a third party that bought the delinqet taxes. now there is a lien on my property, and the bill from the third party is double what the taxes were if closing agents would have done their job that they got paid to do. i need to know my legal options and if closing agents are the responcable party for this mess andto get lien off my property?

Look at your copy of your settlement statement from the closing and find out what happened to that money. If they were supposed to pay the taxes, they are responsible. You'll want to know where your money actually went to. Go find an attorney as soon as possible before those tax lien leeches try to foreclose on your property.
