Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

community property while being unmarried

My current live-in girlgriend and I are buying a home. Because of my credit history, my name will not show anywhere on the mortage but it will on some of the house hold bills. Will I have any legal rights to the house or is it completely hers?

The house will be completely hers. You can have her do an act of donation at the closing, donating a one-half interest to you. This way, the house will be one-half yours.
