Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Louisiana

My daughter went to a party on new years while my husband and I were out of town and met a guy who is a friend of a friend. She's 16, turn 17 in may 2011 He's 20 turn 21 November 2011. We recently found out she stayed the night at the party site and made out with the guy the whole night. They didn't do anything more though I've heard his shirt was off. When we found out, we forbid her from speaking to him and threatened to press charges if she did. It was just a bluff but can we legally press charges against him for just making out? We live in Louisiana.

Charges for what? A 20 year old with a 16 year old is a crime is he sexually touched her, or had sexual intercourse or has oral sex with other no matter who was giving the sex. If your daughter is ready to admit in public that such a thing happened, then you could press charges. But since you told me and everyone else who reads your post that it is a BLUFF, you need to not take it any further. Keep a sharper eye on your daughter.
