Legal Question in Employment Law in Maryland

I work for burger king a franchise group and I got fired because I got blamed for being an accomplice in making fake void on orders and helping somebody steal, there is no prove that I did it besides just me being there along with other assistant managers there. They sent an email to all my co workers stating I'm a thief when there is no prove and I also got fired without notice. Is it possible to sue them? Would I have a case

You may not have a claim as an employee at will for wrongful termination. However, you may have a claim for defamation. If you file a defamation action, one of the settlement provisions may be that they provide you with a neutral reference and neutral reference letter. This will assist you in getting another job.
